How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Data Engineer | London

Location: London (Hybrid 4 days in office: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday)
    Salary:** £55,000 £75,000 (DOE)
    Ref:** J13073

A fast-growing AI SaaS company is building the data backbone behind its analytics and machine learning products and is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to take ownership of this critical layer.

You'll work at the centre of a modern, cloud-based data platform, designing scalable pipelines and data models that turn large, complex, and often messy datasets into reliable, production-grade data products.

A key requirement for this role is strong, production-level SQL expertise.

You'll be building and optimising complex SQL transformations at scale, ensuring data is accurate, performant, and trusted across analytics and ML use cases.

The environment is modern and cloud-first, with exposure to Spark, Snowflake, and BigQuery across AWS, GCP, and Azure.

You'll also collaborate closely with product, analytics, and machine learning teams and contribute to improving engineering standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Build and maintain scalable, production-grade data pipelines
    * Own end-to-end data workflows from source to production
    * Write and optimise advanced **SQL transformations at scale**
    * Work with complex, imperfect, high-volume datasets
    * Improve data quality, reliability, and performance
    * Collaborate with product, analytics, and ML teams
    * Contribute to engineering best practices

    What We're Looking For

    * Strong **Python and advanced SQL** in production environments
    * Experience delivering end-to-end data engineering solutions
    * Exposure to **Spark, Snowflake, BigQuery** or similar
    * Cloud experience across **AWS, GCP, or Azure**
    * Comfortable working with messy, large-scale datasets
    * Strong ownership from design through to deployment

A strong opportunity to shape the data foundations behind AI products in a high-growth, modern engineering environment where **SQL is central to success**.

*Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available
