How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.

    * Encourage independence, confidence, and positive engagement in learning.

    * Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.

    * Work collaboratively with parents, teachers, and external agencies where appropriate.

    * Has experience working with children, ideally within an educational or SEN setting.

    * Demonstrates patience, empathy, and understanding.

    * Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    * Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.

    * Is proactive, flexible, and able to work as part of a team.

    * Has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.

    Essential Requirements

    * Experience working with children or young people.

    * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    * A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

    * A current Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the DBS Update Service (mandatory).

    Desirable Qualifications and Experience

    * Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) or equivalent.

    * Experience supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, SEMH, or other additional needs.

    * Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

    * Experience working within a primary or secondary school environment.

    What We Offer

    * A welcoming and supportive staff team.

    * Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

    * A rewarding role where you can make a real impact on pupils' lives.

    * Opportunities for career progression within the school
