How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical)

    Location: Stafford
    Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (starting salary)
    Paid Weekly - Every Friday
    4 on, 4 off Shift Pattern (12-hour shifts)

    Our client based in Stafford, is looking to expand their engineering team and is recruiting experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineers, to join their growing operation.

    If you're an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Engineer from an FMCG or manufacturing background and are looking for a role offering flexibility, stability and career progression, we'd love to hear from you!

    The Role

    You'll play a key role in maintaining and improving the performance of the site's machinery and production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.

    You'll be working on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern with 12-hour shifts. Start times are flexible, with the option to begin anytime between 3:00am and 9:00am, giving you greater work-life balance.

    What you will need for thi Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineers role:

    Experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical)

    18th Edition qualified (essential)

    Previous experience within an FMCG, food manufacturing or production environment is highly desirable

    Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement
