How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: KS3 Teacher
    Location: Durham
    Pay: £750–£1,100 per week (depending on experience)
    Start Date: Immediate
    Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

    Are you ready to inspire Key Stage 3 students and help them achieve success across the curriculum?

    GSL Education Newcastle branch are recruiting Key Stage 3 Teacher to work in schools across Durham. We are looking for qualified teachers from all subject specialisms, including English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, Modern Foreign Languages, Computing, Design and Technology, PE, Art, Music, Drama, and other curriculum areas.

    The KS3 Teacher role offers an excellent opportunity to engage students during a crucial stage of their education, delivering high-quality subject teaching while preparing them for the challenges of Key Stage 4.

    KS3 Teacher Responsibilities:

    Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the Key Stage 3 curriculum within your subject specialism
    Adapt teaching strategies to support pupils with different learning needs and abilities
    Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage achievement
    Promote positive behaviour and create an inclusive classroom environment
    Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support student development
    Maintain high standards of safeguarding, classroom management, and professional practice
    KS3 Teacher Requirements:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
    Experience teaching Key Stage 3 within your subject area is desirable
    Secure knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies
    Ability to inspire learners through engaging and well-structured lessons
    Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
    Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
