How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Provide guidance to team members to maintain consistent standards and safe working practices.
Support the delivery of health and safety processes on campus, including inspections, audits and routine checks.
Manage reactive and planned maintenance, working with contractors to ensure work is completed safely and to specification.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activity, compliance checks and contractor work.
Act as a first point of contact for building and maintenance queries, resolving routine issues or escalating where needed.
Work with IT and other service teams to coordinate local support and resolve operational issues.
Contribute to service improvements by identifying recurring issues and suggesting practical solutions.

    What You’ll Bring:

Experience coordinating building, maintenance or facilities activity in a busy or complex environment.
Experience supervising or guiding colleagues on a day-to-day basis.
Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and respond to changing demands.
Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
A practical, problem-solving approach and sound judgement in day-to-day situations.
The ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues, contractors and service teams.
Good digital skills, including experience using systems to manage records or track activity.
A working understanding of health and safety requirements in a facilities or maintenance setting.
