Workshop Controller
Cranleigh Area | Monday–Friday | £40,000–£45,000 + Up to £6,000 Bonus

Our client is a well-respected independent garage in the Cranleigh area looking for an experienced Workshop Controller to keep the wheels turning (literally). They pride themselves on quality workmanship, a professional approach, and looking after both their customers and their team.
The Role
You'll be the engine behind a busy workshop, making sure everything runs smoothly from job allocation to vehicle handover.
You'll be responsible for:
* Coordinating the daily workload for a team of six technicians.
* Prioritising jobs and keeping the workshop productive.
* Monitoring work in progress and ensuring deadlines are met.
* Liaising with the front-of-house team to keep customers informed.
* Supporting technicians and helping solve the inevitable curveballs that workshop life throws your way.
* Keeping standards high while maintaining a calm head when everyone else has "just one quick question."
About You
You'll probably already know what makes a great Workshop Controller, but ideally, you'll have:
* Previous experience in a Workshop Controller or senior workshop management role.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to spin multiple plates without dropping any.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* A positive, hands-on attitude.
* A passion for delivering excellent customer service.

* £40,000–£45,000 basic salary.
* Up to £6,000 annual bonus.
* Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm – because weekends are for enjoying your own car... or finally fixing it.

* Long service leave increasing to 25 days after five years.
* A loyalty bonus starting at £250 per year, increasing by £250 each year to £1,250 annually after five years' service.
