How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher who thrives in a supportive, nurturing environment and is confident working with pupils who require additional emotional, social and behavioural support.

    The successful candidate will teach Key Stage 3 students across a range of curriculum subjects, delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that encourage pupils to achieve both academically and personally. Classes are small, allowing you to build positive relationships with students and provide the consistency and encouragement they need to succeed.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Deliver high-quality lessons across a broad KS3 curriculum.

    * Plan and adapt learning to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEMH needs.

    * Establish clear routines and maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning.

    * Use strong classroom and behaviour management strategies to create a calm, structured and positive learning environment.

    * Build trusting relationships that support pupils' confidence, engagement and personal development.

    * Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral teams and senior leaders to provide the best outcomes for every student.

    * Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress, adapting teaching where required.

    * Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion at all times.

    The Ideal Candidate

    * Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

    * Has experience teaching Key Stage 3 students.

    * Is confident delivering a range of subjects across the KS3 curriculum.

    * Has excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.

    * Is patient, resilient, adaptable and able to remain calm under pressure.

    * Can motivate and inspire pupils who may have experienced barriers to learning.

    * Experience working within an SEMH, SEN, alternative provision or mainstream setting supporting pupils with challenging behaviour is desirable but not essential.

    What We Offer

    * Competitive daily rates of pay.

    * Full-time, long-term agency opportunity.

    * Ongoing support from a dedicated recruitment consultant.

    * Opportunity to gain valuable experience within a rewarding specialist setting.

    * A welcoming and supportive staff team committed to improving outcomes for young people.

    If you're an enthusiastic teacher looking for your next rewarding challenge and have the skills to support pupils with SEMH needs, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today to find out more about this exciting opportunity
