How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Computing Teacher (QTS)
    Location: London
    Start Date: September 2026
    Contract: Full Time
    Salary: Up to M6 Equivalent (£Competitive Independent School Salary)

    The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging Computing lessons that inspire curiosity, creativity, and a passion for technology amongst students.

    The Role:

    Planning and delivering high-quality Computing lessons across the relevant key stages.

    Inspiring students to develop their understanding of computer science, programming, and digital technologies.

    Creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.

    Assessing and monitoring pupil progress to ensure excellent outcomes.

    Contributing to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities.

    Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an outstanding educational experience.

    The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

    A minimum of two years' experience teaching Computing within a UK school setting.

    Strong subject knowledge across Computing and Computer Science.

    Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

    High expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour.

    A passion for technology and innovation in education.

    Please Note:

    Unfortunately, this role is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

    Applicants must have previous UK teaching experience and a proven track record of delivering excellent outcomes in Computing.
