Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter will include:
The building & assembly of bespoke industrial rotating machinery purchased by some the highest regarded Oil & Gas focused organisations
Dynamic balancing of components, including impellors, shafts and rotors
Reading, interpreting and working directly from a range of technical drawings, BOMs and schematics, ensuring that products are built in line with tolerances and specificationsFor the Mechanical Fitter position, we are keen to receive applications from individuals who possess the following:
Possess formal qualifications within a relevant discipline (Apprenticeship, NVQ/BTEC/City & Guilds Level 3, HNC, HND etc.)
Previous experience working in an assembly and/or building role, ideally within industrial rotating equipment (pumps, gearboxes, compressors, turbines, valves, diesel engines etc.)Working Hours of the Mechanical Fitter:
37 Hours per week working a regular day shift
Monday to Thursday - 07:00 to 15:30
Friday - 07:00 to 12:30In return, the Mechanical Fitter will receive:
Pay Rates (Umbrella PAYE): Base £28.63 / Overtime: £42.95
Incentive Payment: £1,300.00 for every successful 3-month period worked
Overtime: Frequently available paid at time & a half and double time (Sundays only)
Assignment Duration: 3 Month rolling assignment (often extended and sometimes offered permanent, but not guaranteed)
