How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    HGV C+E Driver

    Hourly Rate – Up to £17.93 per hour (plus benefits)
    Hours – Varied shift patterns, including Monday to Friday, Wednesday to Sunday, and Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday.
    Location– Hill & Moore, Pershore

    As an HGV C+E Driver at FCC Environment, you will operate a hook lift HGV to transport waste between company sites across the Worcester and Herefordshire area, supporting the safe and efficient delivery of our waste management services.

    This vacancy is for a full-time position, working hours dependent on business requirements.

    What will you be doing?

    - Driving HGV vehicles to service waste management facilities and transporting materials between company and third-party sites
    - Carrying out daily vehicle inspections, defect reporting, and basic maintenance checks
    - Operating hook lift equipment safely and in line with procedures
    - Ensuring loads are secured and transported safely at all times
    - Complying with transport legislation and maintaining accurate driver records
    - Following all health and safety procedures and reporting any incidents or issues
    - Maintaining a professional and courteous approach when dealing with colleagues and the public
    - Supporting wider site operations as required by your line manager

    What are we looking for?

    - A valid HGV C+E driving licence
    - Previous HGV driving experience (essential)
    - Hook lift experience (desirable)
    - Good understanding of health and safety practices
    - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    - Reliable, flexible and customer-focused approach
