How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Role – Landscape Architect

    Salary - £DOE

We are looking for a talented Landscape Architect for a North Yorkshire based multidisciplinary consultancy. They work on a variety of projects including masterplanning, leisure and tourism, residential, commercial, parks, greenspaces and recreational areas.

    The Company
This multidisciplinary Consultancy is all about helping landowners and managers bring their ideas to life. From developing property portfolios to creating unique leisure and tourism destinations, the team works on a wide range of projects that enhance rural areas while staying in tune with the natural environment.

Their location offers great transport links with direct train services to Leeds, Bradford, and Manchester, so commuting to the big cities is easy. If you prefer driving, their office is well-connected to major roads including the A59 and A65, making it simple to get around.

    Key Responsibilities

As a Landscape Architect, you’ll be designing beautiful and functional landscapes for rural settings, working closely with architects, planners, and consultants to bring projects to life. You’ll carry out landscape and visual impact assessments, prepare detailed designs and planning documents, and listen to clients’ ideas to turn them into reality.

    Qualifications

We’re looking for someone with a degree in Landscape Architecture, experience with design tools like AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite, and a good knowledge of UK planning policies and regulations. Great communication and organisational skills are a must, and if you’re a member of the Landscape Institute, that’s a bonus.

    Employee Benefits

You’ll enjoy a discretionary bonus scheme, private medical insurance (including dental and optical cover), and access to a wellness allowance and employee assistance programme. Other perks include your birthday off, additional Christmas holiday allowance, a cycle-to-work scheme, and flexible working arrangements to suit your lifestyle.
