How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our OEM Client based in Gaydon, is searching for a Product Modeller to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a contract position with a proposed end date of 31st March 2027.

    Umbrella Pay Rate: £28.43 per hour.

    Duties:

    Product Information (PI) is the beating heart of our business. As a department we are responsible for the delivery of coherent and timely Product Specification and Bill of Materials in line with Programme timing.

    As a Product Modeller, you are responsible for all virtual configurations and early Bill of Material quality for all vehicle lines at the company. The team support each Engineering area (Tech Centre). They have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of which parts/commodities are fitted to which specifications of vehicles and for which markets.

    They will have to provide coaching and support to the Engineering areas on content coding to enable robust downstream consumption. They have a direct impact on vehicle build quality and success at the Manufacturing plants. The Product Modellers are responsible for delivery of Virtual Series Models to deliver virtual build events of the highest quality. This exciting and equally stimulating role offers the opportunity to join a critical area within the business.

    Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

    Understanding the PI Framework and recognising opportunities for improvement.
    Evaluation of process improvements in support of the increasing departmental responsibilities.
    Monitoring and improving data standards within the department.
    Understanding, loading and maintaining control models / VSM’s.
    Feature Alignment between RMFD & 3DX toolsets.
    BoM quality and delivery of the feature change process to maintain B0M to the latest assumptions.
    BoM creations – File Set Up.
    Empress Validation & Issue Resolution for all MY’s across a given VL.
    Creating metrics to support the progress of delivery for a VL.
    Managing your own throughput within the team.

    What you’ll need:

    Applications are welcomed from individuals who have the ability to prioritise and manage their own workload. You'll benefit from an interest in CAD Quality, bills of Material and you will need the ability to plan through problems as they arise.

    Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required:

    Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Time management - must be able to balance and prioritise tasks through close customer engagement.
    Excellent communication skills.
    CAD 3DX Visualisation.
    Bill of Material / of the WERS system knowledge.
    Excel knowledge.
    Essential Personal Profile Required:

    A candidate who has the skills to work as part of a team, to enhance the way we build and deliver our data in Product Information.
    A candidate who is able to communicate directly, clearly and openly and can engage with stakeholders at multiple levels within the business.
