How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Music Teacher | Permanent | September Start | Camden

    Location: Camden, North London
    Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
    Contract: Permanent
    Start Date: September 2026 (or sooner by agreement)

    Inspire the Next Generation Through Music

    A well established secondary school in Camden is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Music Teacher to join its successful Performing Arts department on a permanent basis.

    This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher who can inspire students of all abilities and foster a love of music both inside and outside the classroom. Whether you are an Early Career Teacher or an experienced practitioner, you will be joining a supportive school that values creativity, collaboration and high quality teaching.

    The Role

    You will be responsible for delivering engaging Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for the right candidate. You will play an active role in the wider life of the department by supporting concerts, performances and extracurricular activities that enrich students' learning.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons that inspire and challenge students.

    * Assess, monitor and support student progress.

    * Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

    * Contribute to concerts, productions, clubs and enrichment activities.

    * Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop the Music curriculum.

    * Maintain high expectations of behaviour, achievement and attendance.

    * Support the wider aims and values of the school.

    The Ideal Candidate

    We are looking for someone who has:

    * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.

    * Experience teaching Music within a secondary school setting.

    * Strong subject knowledge and a passion for music education.

    * Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

    * A commitment to achieving the best outcomes for every student.

    * The ability to contribute positively to a collaborative department.
