How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Description:

    Shire Healthcare are working with a reputable and leading provider of specialist care and education recruiting for a Psychological Therapist to be based in 2 CSE children's homes in Hartlepool.

    About the employer:

    This employer is an independent leading provider of specialist care and education. They work with children and young people in either an educational and/or residential setting who present a complexity of needs including developmental trauma, neuro-developmental conditions, autism, ADHD, and special educational needs.

    Role snapshot:

    The post holder will work across two specialist children’s homes supporting young people with complex needs, including developmental trauma, neurodevelopmental conditions and experiences of sexual exploitation. They will be part of a multidisciplinary clinical team, delivering assessment-informed interventions, supporting formulation and care planning, and helping to create therapeutic, trauma-informed care environments.

    Contract type – permanent (52 week working)

    Hours – 4 days per week

    Salary - £43,250- £52,250 FTE

    Experience required:

    Candidates applying will have HCPC registration or BACP accreditation (those who are working towards accreditation will be considered) along with experience working with young people who may have experienced trauma and challenging behaviours, with CSE/sexual trauma knowledge desirable.
