How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    18 Month FTC

Full Time - Hybrid - Central London

    c.£50,000 to £60,000

    • Are you an experienced Process Improvement specialist with a strong record of success in driving organisational transformation and end-to-end process redesign within the Higher Education sector?
    • Are you passionate about delivering measurable improvements in efficiency, effectiveness, and overall experience within complex organisations?
    • Are you ready to collaborate across diverse teams and engage stakeholders at every level to co-create smarter, simpler ways of working?

We are looking for a creative, adaptable Process Improvement Lead who can play a pivotal role in shaping future-fit processes that enhance the operational excellence and experience of students, staff, and leadership across a world-renowned London university.

As the Process Improvement Lead, you will work closely with academic and professional services teams to identify friction points, map and analyse critical processes, and implement practical innovations aligned with the university’s ambitious strategic refresh.

    The Role

    As part of this newly established Transformation team, this role will work side by side with Service Design Leads, Project Managers and Change Managers, to fulfil a service review / target operating model change across the entire organisation. This role will be responsible for;

    • Leading on institution-wide process mapping and diagnostics, capturing inefficiencies and extracting actionable insights that directly shape strategic improvements.

    • Co-creating and embedding operating models that prioritise the needs of a dynamic academic environment, delivering benefits in efficiency and experience for all stakeholders.
    • Working within a cross-functional team including a Service Design Lead, providing authoritative guidance on process improvement priorities and change feasibility.
    • Leading strategic engagements with senior leaders, programme boards, and stakeholders to secure alignment, address risks, and ensure support for the university’s long-term goals.

    • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data and feedback into actionable recommendations.
    • Expertise in recognised methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen, and an ability to apply these to achieve significant, measurable impacts.
    • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, including experience hosting high-level consultations and workshops that inspire collaboration and consensus.
    • A solid understanding of operating model transformations and organisational development, with a demonstrable commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

It would also be advantageous to have:

    • Experience working within a complex, federated, organisational structure, and familiarity with the unique challenges and opportunities in the Higher Education or Public Sector.

This role offers an unparalleled opportunity to make a tangible, lasting impact on one of the world’s leading universities. By enabling smarter, more streamlined processes, you’ll ensure this organisation continues delivering world-class education while supporting an inclusive and sustainable community. If you’re motivated by transformation, thrive in complex environments, and are ready to drive lasting improvements, then this is a great opportunity to join at the very beginning.
