How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced care leader with a proven track record of driving service improvement within CQC-regulated environments. If you thrive on leading change, improving quality standards, and delivering positive outcomes, this could be the ideal next challenge.

The successful candidate will be expected to take on CQC registration and be available for an immediate start (subject to pre-employment checks).

    The Role

As Turnaround Manager, you will take full operational responsibility for the service, providing strong leadership to stabilise operations, improve regulatory compliance, and embed a culture of high-quality, person-centred care.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will develop and deliver improvement plans while ensuring the safety, wellbeing and best outcomes for the people supported.

    Key Responsibilities

    *

Take overall operational leadership of the residential service.

    *

Act as the senior safeguarding lead, ensuring safe and effective care at all times.

    *

Lead the service through a structured improvement programme, addressing regulatory requirements and inspection actions.

    *

Assume CQC Registered Manager responsibilities and maintain full regulatory compliance.

    *

Stabilise staffing, rotas, supervision and operational performance.

    *

Lead, motivate and develop the staff team through periods of change.

    *

Implement robust governance, auditing and quality assurance processes.

    *

Build positive relationships with CQC, commissioners, local authorities and other external stakeholders.

    *

Produce high-quality reports, action plans and performance updates.

    *

Ensure improvements are embedded and sustainable, supporting a smooth transition at the end of the contract.

    About You

We're looking for an experienced and resilient care professional who can confidently lead services through change.

    Essential Requirements

    *

Significant experience managing adults' residential care services.

    *

Proven success delivering turnaround, transformation or post-inspection improvement within regulated care settings.

    *

Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding legislation and quality standards.

    *

Experience leading teams through change and driving accountability.

    *

Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

    *

Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise in fast-paced environments.

    *

Confidence making complex operational decisions under pressure.

    Desirable

    *

Current or previous CQC Registered Manager status, or eligibility to register.

    *

Experience improving services rated 'Requires Improvement' or equivalent.

    *

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent).

    *

Experience supporting adults with complex needs or behaviours that challenge.

    What's on Offer

    Our client offers:

    Competitive negotiable salary.

Six-month fixed-term contract with immediate impact.
