Design Manager

I'm working with a growing regional main contractor who are looking to strengthen their technical team with the appointment of a Design Manager.
 
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership of the design process from pre-construction through to project delivery. They're looking for someone who can confidently drive design forward rather than relying on consultants or operational teams to make key decisions.

The Role

Managing design from pre-construction through to project completion
• Coordinating consultant teams and driving design programmes
• Reviewing technical information and ensuring buildability
• Managing planning, Building Regulations and statutory approvals
• Working closely with operational, commercial and bid teams
• Identifying and managing technical risk throughout the project lifecycle
• Full-time office and site-based role
