Key Responsibilities
As a Vehicle Technician, in Bournemouth, Dorset you will:
Carry out servicing, maintenance & repairs on a mixed fleet of commercial vehicles
Diagnose faults efficiently & complete repairs to a high standard
Perform safety inspections & vehicle examinations
Complete preventative maintenance & scheduled servicing
Accurately record defects, repairs & parts used electronically
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures & Operator Licence requirements
Support apprentices & assist with training where required
Work collaboratively to keep the fleet operating safely & efficiently
What we're looking for
To be successful, you'll have:
Previous experience within a busy commercial vehicle workshop
A valid HGV Licence
NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance
Experience maintaining municipal fleets, including refuse collection vehicles, road sweepers, trailers, tractors, vans & light commercial vehicles
Strong fault-finding & diagnostic skills
A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities
The ability to work independently & as part of a team
