How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Help Shape the UK’s Energy Future

    Digital Engineer Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), Supporting Sizewell C

    As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years. This role will be within the Marine and Tunnels Section.

    What will you do?

    The purpose of this role is to provide hands-on digital engineering and modelling support to the Digital Engineering Manager, ensuring high quality data driven outputs that enable preconstruction activities such as quantity take-off, visual method statements and 4D.

    The Digital Engineer will play a key role in producing, maintaining, and federating 3D models using a combination of different software – primarily Tekla structures, supporting the Engineering, Planning, and Site teams throughout the project lifecycle.

    The role includes developing the way we will work to deliver digital information, embedding any specific standards, methods and procedures required by the client.

    What are we looking for?

    Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience

    Use of 3D and 4D modeling software in construction

    Model authoring to a predefined specification within different grid reference systems

    Model federation and model quality checking (clash detection, model properties)

    Model property data management and schedule extration

    Familiarisation with the Design review process, 3D issue management

    Understanding of COBie assets requirements

    Delivery of Graphical (models/drawings) and Non-Graphical (data) in line with a BIM Execution Plan and other associated documents

    Working within a Common Data Environments

    Experience of working collaboratively in either a consultant or contractor environment

    Proficiency in IT systems and Microsoft Office 365 tools.

    Good communication and ability to form effective relationships with the project team, supply chain partners and clients under time pressure

    Demonstrable track record of delivering a high quality product to tight deadlines

    Primary software skills in model authoring relative to Project Requirements

    Can demonstrate strong technical ability with the use of Digital software applications, 4D and 5D modelling experience beneficial

    Keen to learn develop and support members of the digital team and wider project teamon digital upskilling, including supply chain

    Proactively working towards technical membership or professional qualification

    Valid CSCS card is considered beneficial

    Qualifications & Experience

    NVQ Level 3 and/or 3-5 years industry previous experience in a similar role.

    Understanding UK BIM Level 2 Standards and Protocols, contracts and documentations with an eye for detail.

    Understanding of the principles of ISO 19650

    Some understanding of Design, Construction, Surveying and Asset Management

    Experience with modelling in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revit, Tekla Structures and other equivalent applications

    Synchro Software experience or equivalent

    Solibri experience or equivalent is not essential but considered beneficial
