How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Teaching Assistant – Secondary School

    Hounslow | Full-Time | September Start | Long-Term Opportunity

    We're looking for caring, reliable and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join welcoming secondary schools across Hounslow. Whether you already have experience in education or have worked in a care, youth work or support role, we'd love to hear from you.

    This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people by helping them build confidence, independence and achieve their potential.

    The Role

    As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

    * Support students with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and moderate learning difficulties.

    * Work with students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.

    * Help pupils stay engaged with lessons and classroom activities.

    * Work closely with teachers and the school's SEN department to provide the best possible support.

    * Encourage positive behaviour and build trusting relationships with students.

    * Help create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.

    We're Looking For

    We'd love to hear from you if you have:

    * Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, care, youth work or similar).

    * A calm, patient and positive approach.

    * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    * The ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.

    * A genuine passion for helping young people succeed.

    * An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
