How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Advanced Practitioner, Children in Care

    3 Years Perm PQE

    Rate: £41.00

    Hybrid - 3 days on site minimum

    This is an exciting opportunity to be an Advanced Social Work Practitioner in the well-established children in care service and is a rare opportunity! Due to successful career progression of our current ASWP to a team manager role, we have a temporary opportunity for an experienced and passionate social worker to take on the role for 3 - 6 months, in Children in Care Team 4. Advanced Practitioners are pivotal in establishing consistently excellent social work practice in our teams. You will work with our children needing the most support and share your expertise with others through modelling, coaching, reflective supervision, and other learning activities.

    You will be a registered social worker with significant experience of working with children and families in a statutory social work setting and experience of supporting others in a social work or social care role, which may include practice education of students or ASYE social workers.

    You will be dynamic and driven to achieve strong outcomes for our children, skilled in providing support and challenge to colleagues and families and creating change.

    You must be skilled and experienced in working with children in care or have suitable transferable skills.

    You need to have strong skills around reunification and supporting children to return home safely, pathway planning, adoption and permanency planning for children and young people to support them to leave our care in suitable and safe ways. You will need to support less experienced colleagues with chairing stability meetings, permanency planning meetings and providing practice guidance and support alongside the team manager, whilst managing a caseload so you will also need to be highly organised.
