How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Project Engineer (Mechanical)

    £45,000 - £62,000 + Training + Progression + Bonus + Excellent Company Benefits

    Are you a Engineer from a Mechanical background looking to join a growing market leading company with continuous expansion, offering training on specialist equipment and long-term progression?

    In this role, you will be responsible for managing pump repair and service projects from inspection through to completion, preparing quotations, coordinating resources and procurement and ensuring projects are delivered safely on time and within budget. You will work collaboratively with customers and internal teams.

    This role would suit an Engineer from a Mechanical background with experience with pumps, pump repair and associated equipment, looking for training and long-term progression.

    The role:

    Reviewing workshop inspection reports to assess condition of pumps and equipment
    Identifying the materials and components required for repairs
    Preparing quotations for repair work, based on findings and repair requirements
    Liasing with Account Manager and General Manager and the wider team to ensure projects are delivered in line with customer expectations.The candidate:

    Modern apprenticeship in Mechanical Manufacturing or Degree Level in related subject (Engineering, project management etc.)
    Knowledge of Pumps, Pump repair Methodologies and associated equipment
    Experience managing projects from concept through to completion
