How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Process Engineer - Renewable Energy - South Ayrshire - Permanent - £35k-40k + bonus

I'm currently working with a fast-growing renewable energy business that's looking to add a Process Engineer to its engineering team.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a junior to mid-level Process Engineer looking to accelerate their career. You'll gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, working on innovative process projects from initial concept through to commissioning, while supporting sites across the UK and internationally. If you're working towards Chartership, this role will give you the breadth of experience needed to develop both technically and professionally.

    The Role

Working alongside experienced Process and Project Engineers, you'll be involved in delivering a wide range of capital and process improvement projects, including:

    * Producing process engineering deliverables including Mass & Energy Balances, PFDs, P&IDs, equipment datasheets and specifications

    * Supporting equipment selection, plant layouts and design reviews

    * Assisting with project delivery from concept, procurement and installation through to commissioning and handover

    * Supporting commissioning activities and producing as-built documentation

    * Contributing to process safety activities including HAZID, HAZOP and DSEAR studies

    * Working across multiple operational sites, with opportunities for international travel.

    About You

We're keen to speak with Chemical or Process Engineers who have around 2+ years' experience within manufacturing, process industries, energy, chemicals or similar sectors.

    You'll ideally have:

    * A degree in Chemical Engineering

    * Experience producing process engineering documentation such as PFDs, P&IDs and Mass & Energy Balances

    * Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn

    * The flexibility to travel between UK and international project sites when required.

    Why Apply?

This is a genuine career-building opportunity with a business experiencing significant growth in the renewable energy sector.

    You'll benefit from:

    * Exposure to the full engineering project lifecycle

    * Opportunities to work on UK and international projects

    * Structured mentoring from experienced engineers

    * Excellent support towards Chartership

    * Long-term career progression within a rapidly expanding organisation

    * The chance to play a key role in delivering innovative, sustainable energy projects.

If you're looking for a role where you'll gain hands-on project experience and develop into a well-rounded Process Engineer, I'd be delighted to tell you more. Apply today for a confidential discussion
