How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Field Service Engineer (Pumps) Home Based - Ideally Located in Maidstone (Commutable from: Ashford, Sittingbourne, Chatham, Gillingham, Rochester, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks, Canterbury, etc.) £35,000 + Unlimited Overtime (OTE £50,000+) + Company Van + Fuel Card + Specialist Training + Career Progression + Call Out + Excellent Company Benefits

    Are you a Field Service Engineer with experience working on pumps looking to maximise your earnings through unlimited overtime while receiving ongoing specialist training?

    On offer is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and growing company that invests heavily in its engineers, offering continuous technical development, long-term career progression, and excellent earning potential.

    In this home-based role, you'll cover customer sites across the South East, carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a variety of domestic and commercial wastewater and surface water pumping equipment.

    You'll receive structured training, work with an experienced team, and have the opportunity to significantly increase your earnings through overtime.

    This role would suit a Pump Engineer looking for a secure long-term position with plenty of training and opportunities to progress.
    The Role:

    Service, maintain and repair domestic and commercial pumping equipment
    Mechanical and electrical fault finding
    Home based covering the South East region
    On-call rota
    Unlimited overtime and ongoing specialist training
    The Person:

    Experience working on pumps or pumping equipment
    Mechanical and electrical knowledge
    Full UK Driving Licence
    Happy to travel throughout the South East
