How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Renewable Energy Sales Consultant / Surveyor
    Location: Newark (field-based, covering surrounding areas)
    Salary: £40,000– £45,000 base + commission
    Working Pattern: Monday – Friday

    About the Company

    A fast-growing renewable energy business specialising in solar PV and low-carbon technologies across domestic and small commercial projects. With a strong pipeline of work and consistent lead flow in the Newark region, they are looking to expand their team with a technically minded Sales Consultant / Surveyor.

    The Role

    This is a hybrid sales and surveying position within the renewables sector. You will attend pre-qualified appointments, assess properties for solar PV suitability, design tailored systems, and convert opportunities into sales. This role suits someone with a strong understanding of renewable technologies and a consultative, customer-first approach.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Attending pre-booked appointments with residential and light commercial customers

    * Conducting on-site surveys for solar PV and other renewable solutions

    * Designing systems and producing accurate, competitive quotations

    * Advising customers on energy savings, ROI, and sustainability benefits

    * Closing sales and managing the project journey through to installation

    * Working closely with installation teams to ensure smooth delivery

    * Keeping up to date with renewable technologies, incentives, and regulations

    Requirements

    * Experience in renewable energy sales, solar PV surveying, or technical sales

    * Strong understanding of solar PV systems (additional renewables knowledge beneficial)

    * Proven ability to close deals and manage a sales pipeline

    * Excellent communication and customer-facing skills

    * Full UK Driving Licence
