Shift – Rotating shifts (Monday–Friday, 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm)
Job Role of the Senior Engineer
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Engineer to join a leading bakery ingredients manufacturer operating within a major international food group. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced multi-skilled engineer who is looking to step into a leadership role while still remaining hands-on within a fast-paced production environment.
You will be reporting into the Operations Manager and will have responsibility for leading a small engineering team consisting of one engineer and one fabricator. The role is approximately 60% supervisory/leadership and 40% hands-on engineering, although this may vary depending on business needs.
You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running and reliability of 9 production lines, supporting both planned and reactive maintenance activities across a busy, automated manufacturing facility.
Key Machinery Includes
Industrial mixers and blending systems
Heat sealers and packaging equipment
Carton packing and case handling systems
Check weighers and metal detectors
Conveyors and transfer systems
Storage silos and ingredient handling systems

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Senior Engineer
Proven experience in a senior, lead or team leader engineering role
Strong multi-skilled engineering background
Experience within food, pharma, or process manufacturing environments
