How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

The BMS Engineer will play a key role in the development of battery management system algorithms, supporting the design, calibration and validation of advanced battery control strategies. Working across battery systems, software and validation teams, you will contribute to the delivery of high-performance battery solutions from concept through to production.

The BMS Engineer will be responsible for:

Developing and implementing BMS algorithms for SOC, SOH, SOP and broader SOX estimation functions.
Designing, calibrating and validating battery control strategies across different cell chemistries and applications.
Creating mathematical models and estimation techniques, including equivalent circuit models and Kalman filtering approaches.
Analysing cell and pack test data to improve model accuracy and algorithm performance.
Defining calibration methodologies and supporting system integration activities.
Collaborating with software teams to integrate algorithms into embedded BMS platforms.
    The BMS Engineer will have:

A degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related discipline.
Experience developing BMS algorithms and battery state estimation techniques.
Strong understanding of SOC, SOH, SOP and SOX methodologies.
Knowledge of battery modelling and lithium-ion cell behaviour.
Experience using MATLAB/Simulink and model-based development approaches.
Strong analytical, data-processing and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
This role is suited to an engineer who enjoys combining battery science, controls and data analysis to develop advanced energy storage solutions. If you're looking to contribute to the next generation of battery technology, apply with your up-to-date CV and we will be in touch
