How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.

We're recruiting for a Production Technician to join a growing British engineering manufacturer producing high-quality electro-mechanical products used in demanding environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for former REME, Royal Engineers, Royal Signals, RAF Engineering Trades, Royal Navy Engineering Technicians, or anyone with strong hands-on technical skills who enjoys building, testing and fault-finding precision equipment.

    The Role

Working within a skilled production team and reporting to the Production Manager, you'll assemble, test and calibrate electro-mechanical products while ensuring every unit meets strict quality and safety standards.

You'll work from technical drawings, work instructions and engineering documentation, helping to deliver high-quality products whilst contributing to continuous improvement across the production facility.

    Key Responsibilities

    - Assemble and test electro-mechanical products to exact specifications.

    - Interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals and work instructions.

    - Carry out testing and calibration, recording results within the QA system.

    - Maintain exceptional quality standards throughout the build process.

    - Identify opportunities to improve production methods and product quality.

    - Work safely whilst following all Health & Safety procedures.

    - Maintain a clean, organised workspace using 5S principles.

    - Support and mentor colleagues when required.

    What They Are Looking For

They’re looking for people who enjoy practical engineering and take pride in producing work of the highest standard.

    Ideally, you'll have:

    - Electro-mechanical assembly experience (advantageous).

    - Electronics knowledge or soldering skills (beneficial).

    - A strong technical mindset and excellent attention to detail.

    - The ability to read engineering drawings and follow technical instructions.

    - Good problem-solving skills.

    - Strong communication skills.

    - A positive, team-focused attitude.

    - Basic computer literacy.

    - The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Military technical training and experience will be highly regarded.

    Ideal Military Backgrounds

This opportunity would suit veterans from:

    - REME

    - Royal Navy Engineering Branches

    - Vehicle Mechanics

    - Avionics Technicians

    - Weapons or Electronics Technicians

    - Armourers

    - Technical Support or Maintenance roles

If you've spent your military career assembling, maintaining, repairing or testing complex equipment, your skills are highly transferable.

    Benefits

    - 28 days annual leave plus all Bank Holidays

    - Company closes for a minimum of three days over Christmas (deducted from annual entitlement, leaving 25 bookable days)

    - Auto-enrolment pension scheme (5% employee / 3% employer contribution)

    - Private healthcare following successful completion of probation

    - Death in Service Life Insurance worth 2 x annual salary (after one year's service and under age 75)

    - Ongoing training and development

    - Long-term career progression

    - Supportive team environment

    - Opportunity to work on high-quality British engineered products
