How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: CNC Turner Programmer

    Job Type: Days based, Perm

    Location: Aldershot

    Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-4pm Flexible start/finish

    Pay: £38,000 - £41,000

    Our client is a subcontract machine shop that have been around for over 45 years. Company have work for has more than doubled in size within the last 10 years and are still growing.

    Job Description:
    We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner Programmer with Fanuc/Haas experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining and toolpath optimisation.

    Key Responsibilities:
    ⦁ Create G-Code programmes on Haas lathes
    ⦁ Interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and specifications to generate accurate toolpaths.
    ⦁ Collaborate with machinists to refine programs for efficiency, accuracy, and reduced cycle times.
    ⦁ Select appropriate cutting tools and machining strategies for different materials.
    ⦁ Troubleshoot and optimize CNC programs to improve quality and minimize waste.
    ⦁ Ensure compliance with company and industry standards for machining and safety.

    Requirements:
    ⦁ Proven experience as a CAD/CAM Programmer, ideally with OneCNC software.
    ⦁ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T standards.
    ⦁ Hands-one experience in CNC machining and toolpath optimization.
    ⦁ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    ⦁ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
