Experienced Designer (Luxury Womenswear) for a START UP BRAND
Create has partnered with an exciting modern luxury womenswear brand focused on elevated outerwear, statement textures, and timeless silhouettes. They create refined pieces designed to become lasting wardrobe investments, balancing contemporary relevance with enduring style.
They're seeking an experienced Fashion Designer to take ownership of collections from concept through to final production.
As a key member of our growing team, you will lead product development across all categories, driving creative direction while ensuring commercial success and exceptional execution. The Role
You will be responsible for leading the end-to-end design and development process, from initial research and concept creation through sampling, fitting, supplier management, and production approval.
Working closely with the Founder, you will play a pivotal role in defining the brands product vision and maintaining the highest standards of luxury design, craftsmanship, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creative direction and product vision for seasonal and core collections
- Design luxury womenswear collections with a focus on outerwear, tailoring, knitwear, and elevated essentials
- Conduct trend research, market analysis, competitor reviews, and customer insights to identify commercial opportunities
- Create sketches, CADs, technical drawings, tech packs, measurement specifications, and fit comments
- Manage the full product lifecycle from concept through to bulk production
- Collaborate directly with suppliers and factories to ensure accurate sample execution and production standards
- Review and resolve issues relating to fit, construction, quality, and manufacturing
- Source and develop premium fabrics, trims, finishes, and supplier partnerships
- Ensure all products align with brand identity, luxury positioning, and quality expectations
- Manage critical path timelines to ensure collections are delivered on schedule
- Partner with the Founder on collection planning, product strategy, and final approvals
- Analyse customer feedback and sales performance to continuously improve future collections
- Drive innovation and bring fresh ideas that elevate the product offering and strengthen brand differentiation
Requirements
- Significant experience within premium or luxury womenswear design
- Strong expertise in outerwear, tailoring, knitwear, wool fabrics, garment construction, and luxury product development
- Proven experience taking products from concept through to bulk production independently
- Advanced ability to create detailed tech packs and supplier-ready documentation
- Experience working directly with overseas manufacturers and development teams
- Strong understanding of fit, grading, measurements, and sample correction processes
- Commercial awareness with a clear understanding of market trends and customer demand
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership within a fast-paced startup environment
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD software
- Exceptional attention to detail and understanding of luxury finishing techniques
- Highly organised, proactive, and solution-oriented
