How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Home-based - Ideally Located: Manchester, Warrington, Liverpool, Wigan, Bolton, Blackburn, Leeds, Wakefield, Bradford, Huddersfield

    Are you a Service Engineer with experience working on pumps looking to join a growing business offering specialist training, plenty of overtime and long-term career progression?

    On offer is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering company where you will work on a wide range of specialist pumping and water management equipment whilst developing your technical skills through ongoing training and varied work.

    In this role you will carry out installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance and fault finding on a range of pumping systems, booster sets, wastewater equipment and associated control systems across customer sites. The role is predominantly field based with occasional workshop duties, offering plenty of variety and autonomy.

    This company is continuing to grow within their sector and has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality engineering solutions across the UK. They are now looking to strengthen their service team with an additional engineer.
    This role would suit a Service Engineer with mechanical and electrical fault-finding experience looking for a long-term career with a growing engineering business.

    Service, maintenance, installation and commissioning of pumping equipment
