Are you an experienced CAD Engineer with strong CATIA skills designing:
* Chassis
* Suspension
* Braking
* Steering
* Powertrain - Transmission, Gearboxes, Axles
* Heavy vehicle
* Defence vehicles
* Aerospace structures
Our client, a specialist manufacturer is building a team to support an exciting new programme and is looking to connect with talented CAD Engineers.
Location: Cwmbran, South Wales
Contract: 6 months
Travel: Some UK travel will be required
You'll be working as part of a highly skilled engineering team, developing high-quality CAD models and supporting the delivery of innovative automotive engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Create and modify 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using CATIA
* Produce engineering documentation to a high standard
* Work closely with design, manufacturing and project teams
* Support engineering changes throughout the product lifecycle
* Ensure designs meet customer and project requirements
We're looking for someone who has:
* Strong CATIA experience
* Previous experience within the automotive or aerospace sector designing loaded, safety- critical mechanical components with durability and fatigue testing
* Excellent attention to detail
* The ability to work in a fast-paced engineering environment
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
