How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Gas Service & Repair Engineer – Bath

    Location: Bath
    Salary: £43,000–£48,000 per annum + OTE

    We are looking for an experienced Gas Service & Repair Engineer to join our growing team in the Bath area. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault finding, and repairing domestic gas boilers and heating systems, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Carry out servicing, maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on domestic gas boilers and heating systems.

    * Diagnose faults and complete repairs to minimise customer downtime.

    * Deliver excellent customer service while working in occupied and tenanted properties.

    * Complete job reports and required paperwork using electronic and manual systems.

    * Adhere to all Health & Safety legislation, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH requirements.

    * Manage van stock and order parts as required to complete repairs.

    * Work independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and professionalism.

    Requirements

    * Valid domestic gas qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, and CKR1 (essential).

    * Full UK Driving Licence.

    * Previous experience in domestic gas service and repair.

    * Strong knowledge of gas safety regulations and industry standards.

    * Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

    * Strong communication and customer service skills.

    * Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
