How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are working with a welcoming and supportive school in Bracknell seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills while making a meaningful difference to students' academic progress and confidence.

    As a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside experienced teachers, supporting students both in the classroom and through small-group and one-to-one interventions. Your role will help pupils develop their mathematical understanding while encouraging engagement, resilience and a positive attitude towards learning.

    Key Responsibilities

    Support students during maths lessons through one-to-one and small-group interventions.
    Assist teachers with lesson delivery and effective classroom management.
    Help students understand mathematical concepts and complete classwork.
    Provide additional support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and other learning needs.
    Encourage positive behaviour, participation and confidence within the classroom.
    Prepare learning resources and support differentiated learning activities.
    Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.About You

    To be successful in this role, you will have:

    A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
    A genuine passion for education and supporting young people.
    Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and effectively.
    Patience, empathy and a proactive, positive approach.
    The ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team.
    Previous experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential).
