How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Accurately mark out, measure, and align pipework to meet required tolerances and specifications.
Assemble pipework systems using appropriate techniques, including tacking and fit-up, in preparation for welding.
Conduct inspection and basic testing of fabricated pipework to ensure compliance with drawings and quality standards.
Collaborate closely with welders to ensure correct joint preparation and overall fabrication quality.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with workshop procedures, engineering standards, and UK regulations.

Strong working knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous materials e.g. carbon steel, stainless steel, alloys.
Ability to accurately interpret isometric drawings and translate them into fabricated pipe assemblies with minimal supervision.
Skilled in marking out, dimensional control, and alignment to meet fabrication tolerances.
Experience using standard fabrication workshop equipment such as band saws, grinders, pipe bevellers, and similar machinery.
Good understanding of weld preparations, joint configurations, and supporting welding activities.
Relevant apprenticeship or formal qualification in fabrication e.g. NVQ / SVQ Level 3 in Fabrication, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
Strong awareness of QA/QC standards and fabrication best practices within a workshop environment.
Experience working to permit systems and maintaining high health and safety standards.
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively within a team.Additional Information
