How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title:  SEN Teacher
    Location:  Manor Wood School, Bishopsworth, Bristol, BS13 8AG
    Hours:      40 hours per week | Monday to Friday
    Salary:     Up to £45,000.00 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata) plus £1,000 Welcome Bonus (T&Cs apply)
    Contract:  Permanent | Term Time Only
    Start:        September 2026

    What You'll Be Doing

    Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons that inspire pupils and support excellent progress across the secondary curriculum.

    Adapt teaching to meet a wide range of individual learning needs, ensuring every pupil can access and enjoy learning.

    Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom where pupils develop confidence, independence and resilience.

    Monitor, assess and celebrate pupil progress, using assessment to inform high-quality teaching and learning.

    Work collaboratively with the Headteacher and wider school team to develop an ambitious, inclusive curriculum.

    Promote pupils' social, emotional and personal development, helping them overcome barriers to learning.

    Contribute to the wider life of the school through curriculum development, school improvement initiatives and enrichment opportunities.

    Safeguard and promote the welfare of every pupil, maintaining the highest standards of professional practice at all times.

    About You

    We're looking for someone who:

    Holds UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

    Is passionate about inclusive education and supporting children and young people with SEND.

    Delivers creative, engaging and personalised learning experiences that inspire every learner.

    Builds positive, trusting relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.

    Has excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills.

    Is adaptable, resilient and committed to helping every pupil reach their full potential.

    Is committed to continuous professional development and reflective practice.

    Wants to make a meaningful difference as part of a supportive and ambitious school community.
