How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The Sales & Marketing division of Randstad Professional, specialized in Middle and Senior Management search and selection, is recruiting on behalf of a Fruit Company specialized in the industrial processing of fruit for the B2B and B2C channels:


    Business Sales Manager - Food / Ingredients UK


    Main Responsibilities:


    • Identify and acquire new business opportunities in target markets (UK), mapping out potential industrial clients for the sale of semi-finished products (purees, dried and dehydrated fruit, powders) and end consumers for the sale of finished consumer products.
    • Manage and consolidate commercial relationships with acquired clients, ensuring consistent growth in sales volumes.
    • Understand the technological and formulation needs of clients (R&D, Quality Assurance, Procurement, Production) and propose suitable products.
    • Independently manage commercial negotiations with large multinational clients in the food, pet food, and cosmetics sectors. Define specific supply contracts and long-term agreements, ensuring the right pricing and supply conditions.
    • Monitor market trends and competitor activities, providing regular reports to the Sales Management.
    • Collaborate with Italian offices and foreign production sites.
    • Manage and source traders or agencies within the assigned territory to better develop the client base.


    Requirements:


    • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a sales professional in the food ingredients / industrial raw materials sector (B2B).
    • Possession of an active client portfolio or a consolidated network of contacts within food industries (bakery, dairy, confectionery, beverage) and/or agri-food traders in the UK, pet food, and cosmetics.
    • Fluency in English.
    • Strong result orientation, negotiation skills, proactivity, and the ability to work independently.
    • Willingness to travel and participate in industry trade fairs.
