The Role
To propel continued growth, the business is seeking a Head of Equity Capital Raising. This pivotal hire will be responsible for expanding and deepening the investor base, while working closely with the investment and development teams to present the firm’s investment ethos and returns.
As this is the first dedicated equity capital raising appointment, the role requires someone with the experience and gravitas not only to execute, but also to shape and structure the function going forward.
Key responsibilities include:
- Utilising your existing investor network and building new relationships to support the firm’s ambitious growth, with a focus on investors committed to high-returning assets.
- Presenting investment opportunities clearly and convincingly to clients, supported by the in-house team, and rationalising how business plans deliver projected returns.
- Securing equity for both new acquisitions and increasing allocations to existing development projects.
- Acting as the main point of contact for investor queries during fundraising and throughout the lifecycle of investments.
- Partnering with internal teams to ensure timely and successful fundraising.
- Representing the firm’s entrepreneurial values and ethical standards at every stage of the investor journey.
Candidate Profile
- Proven track record in equity capital raising, with firms and individuals aligned to agile, opportunistic, high-return investment strategies.
- Whether UK-based or international, your investors must be demonstrably committed to allocating equity into the UK market.
- Entrepreneurial, resilient, comfortable in a start-up environment where working patterns can have intense and unstructured periods, albeit matched with a truly collaborative mind-set that enables huge rewards for success in our culture
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to communicate complex investment and development concepts effectively, supported by specialist colleagues.
