How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Senior Site Manager – £20m Leisure Centre Project
Main Contractor | Design & Build | Steel Frame Specialist

An established and highly regarded Main Contractor is currently seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to join their delivery team on an exciting new project.

The business specialises in fast-track Design & Build projects, with particular expertise in steel frame construction. Much of their work is focused across new build retail parks, logistics, and industrial warehouse schemes within the e-commerce sector, one of the fastest-growing areas in UK construction.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Site Manager to join a contractor with a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for delivering high-quality projects to tight programmes.

    The Initial Project

You will initially be involved in the delivery of a £20m state-of-the-art leisure centre, which will include:

    * A 25-metre swimming pool with a 68-seat viewing gallery

    * Teaching pool with moveable floor and hoist

    * Sauna, steam room, and spa facilities

    * Five-court sports hall with underfloor heating and dividing wall

    * Two climate-controlled studios with sprung floors

    * 65-station gym and group cycling suite

    * Café, multi-purpose function room with bar

    * Landscaped car park with EV charging points

    The Role

As Senior Site Manager, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of the scheme, overseeing site operations and ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

You will be responsible for managing site teams, subcontractors, programme delivery, health and safety, quality control, and day-to-day coordination on site.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Manage daily site operations and ensure works are delivered to programme

    * Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams

    * Maintain excellent health and safety standards across the site

    * Monitor progress, quality, and compliance throughout the build

    * Work closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team

    * Ensure all works are completed in line with drawings, specifications, and client requirements

    * Support the successful handover of the project

    Candidate Requirements

    * Proven experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager with a Main Contractor

    * Experience delivering Design & Build projects

    * Steel frame project experience would be highly advantageous

    * Strong background in commercial, leisure, industrial, retail, or logistics projects

    * Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

    * Strong understanding of health and safety procedures

    * SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications

    The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected Main Contractor with a growing workload across the UK construction market. The successful candidate will initially work on a flagship leisure scheme, with future opportunities across retail, logistics, industrial, and commercial projects
