How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Supporting mechanical installation and commissioning activities on-site.

    * Assisting with breakdowns and aftersales support when required.
    * Completing site reports, commissioning documentation and customer sign-off paperwork.
    * Ensuring work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.
    * Maintaining strong relationships with customers through professional communication.
    * Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and company training programmes.
    What We're Looking For
    Ideally you'll have:
    * Previous experience in a commissioning, maintenance or field service position.
    * Experience working on pumps, motors or rotating equipment (highly desirable).
    * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
    * Good communication skills and a professional approach on customer sites.
    * Experience within the water, utilities or industrial sectors would be advantageous.
    Qualifications
    * 17th or 18th Edition BS7671.
    * City & Guilds Level 3 Inspection & Testing (preferred).
    * Confined Space (desirable).
    * First Aid (desirable).
    * CSCS Card (desirable).
    What's On Offer
    * Competitive salary.
    * Company vehicle.
    * Overtime opportunities.
    * Ongoing training and development.
    * Long-term career progression.
    * Varied work across water and industrial projects.
    * Supportive and growing engineering team.
    If you're looking for a role where no two days are the same and you can continue developing your electrical and commissioning experience, we'd love to hear from you
