How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

A highly regarded primary school in Westminster is seeking a compassionate and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This is a full-time position for the entire academic year, offering the opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of children with additional needs.

    About the School

This is a popular, two-form entry primary school with an excellent reputation for inclusion, high academic standards, and outstanding pastoral care. The school is proud of its diverse community and places a strong emphasis on ensuring every child feels valued, supported, and able to achieve their full potential.

The leadership team is approachable and committed to investing in staff, creating a collaborative working environment where professional development and wellbeing are prioritised. Classrooms are well-resourced, staff work closely together, and pupils are enthusiastic learners who enjoy coming to school.

You will work alongside the class teacher and SENDCo to provide tailored support for pupils with additional needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop both academically and socially. The role may include supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis as well as delivering small-group interventions, adapting learning activities, and promoting independence throughout the school day.

    The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience supporting children with SEND is essential
Experience working within a UK primary school is highly desirable
Patient, caring, and resilient with a positive attitude
    Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Able to adapt to the individual needs of pupils
Passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning

    What You'll Receive

Full-time role for the 2026–2027 academic year
    Supportive and experienced SEND team
    Friendly and welcoming staff community
    Ongoing professional development opportunities
    Excellent resources and well-equipped classrooms
Opportunity to make a lasting impact within an inclusive primary school
If you are an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role where your support will genuinely change children's lives, we'd love to hear from you.
