Transport Planner

Location: Croydon
Salary: Up to £40,000
Monday - Friday

I currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Transport Planner to join a well-established and growing transport operation in Croydon, moving approx. 450 pallets per day. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and successful transport team where you will play a key role in keeping operations running efficiently and ensuring excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning and coordinating daily deliveries and collections
Managing routes to ensure maximum efficiency and service levels
Enduring drivers are fully briefed and complete their deliveries and collections on time
Maintaining regular communication with drivers throughout the day to manage any issues or changes
Liaising with customers to provide updates and resolve any transport-related queries
Managing pallet distribution schedules and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
Monitoring vehicle utilisation and adapting plans to meet operational demands
Ensuring compliance with transport regulations and company proceduresEssential Requirements

Proven experience in a Transport Planner role within a busy transport environment
Strong experience within pallet distribution/networks
Excellent local geographical knowledge of Croydon and surrounding areas
The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a high-volume workload
Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
