How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Skilled Operative to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson with experience in social housing, reactive maintenance, and finishing works to work across a variety of residential properties.

    About the Role

    The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of maintenance, repair, and finishing tasks within occupied and void properties. You will be expected to deliver a high standard of workmanship while providing excellent customer service to tenants and residents.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Carry out reactive maintenance and repair works within residential and social housing properties.
    Complete carpentry and joinery repairs, including doors, locks, skirting boards, kitchens, and general woodwork.
    Undertake basic plumbing repairs and maintenance.
    Perform painting and decorating works to a high standard.
    Carry out finishing and snagging works to ensure properties meet quality standards.
    Complete general multi-trade repairs and maintenance tasks.
    Diagnose faults and identify the most effective repair solutions.
    Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with company standards.
    Provide excellent customer service when interacting with tenants, residents, and clients.
    Accurately complete job reports and update work records as required.

    Essential Requirements:

    NVQ Level 1 & 2 in Carpentry and Joinery.
    Strong carpentry and joinery skills.
    Experience within social housing, property maintenance, or repairs environments.
    Finishing and snagging experience.
    Painting and decorating experience.
    Excellent attention to detail and quality of workmanship.
    Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
    Full UK Driving License
