How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN TA (Female)

    Location: Tower Hamlets
    Salary: £100 - £120 per day
    Start Date: Sep 2026
    Contract: Long Term

    GSL Education London Branch are looking for an experienced female SEN TA to join a welcoming secondary comprehensive school and sixth form for girls in Tower Hamlets. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated SEN TA who is passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and helping them achieve their full potential in a positive and inclusive learning environment.

    If you are a compassionate, proactive and reliable SEN TA with experience supporting students with additional needs, this long-term SEN TA role could be the perfect next step in your career. The successful SEN TA will work closely with teachers, the SEN department and other support staff to ensure every student receives the care and support they need to thrive both academically and personally.

    This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic SEN TA who enjoys making a real difference every day and is committed to providing high-quality support within the classroom and around the school.

    Responsibilities:

    Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in lessons and around the school.
    Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students achieve their learning goals.
    Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
    Carry out general Teaching Assistant (TA) duties throughout the school day.
    Provide intimate care when required, ensuring students are treated with dignity and respect.
    Support students with their personal, social and emotional development.
    Encourage positive behaviour and promote student independence.
    Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
    Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
    Work effectively with teaching staff, parents and external professionals where appropriate.
    Requirements:

    Previous experience working as an SEN TA, Teaching Assistant or in a similar SEN support role.
    Must hold a valid Manual Handling Certificate.
    Must be confident in carrying out general Teaching Assistant (TA) duties and providing intimate care when required.
    Experience supporting students with a range of special educational needs.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    A patient, caring and positive approach to supporting young people.
    Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
    A commitment to creating a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
