How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Digital Marketing Executive

    Vertical Recruitment is proud to be working with a leading civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering consultancy based in Manchester. The consultancy delivers innovative engineering solutions across a wide range of sectors and projects, combining technical expertise with a forward-thinking approach.

    As the business continues to grow, they are looking for a creative and organised Digital Marketing Executive to support their online presence, brand awareness, and internal communications. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for digital marketing who enjoys creating engaging content and working closely with project teams.

    The Role

    Managing and developing social media accounts, including regular content creation and posting.

    Supporting the ongoing improvement and maintenance of the company website.

    Visiting project sites to capture photography and content for marketing purposes.

    Creating engaging content that showcases projects, people, and company achievements.

    Tracking digital engagement, analysing performance, and identifying opportunities to improve reach and visibility.

    Supporting internal communications and company updates.

    Assisting with wider marketing campaigns and digital initiatives.

    Working closely with technical teams to understand projects and translate them into engaging marketing content.

    Ideally, experience within a consultancy, engineering, construction, or Tier One contractor environment.

    Ideal Candidate

    Experience within a digital marketing role, ideally within the built environment, engineering, construction, or professional services sector.

    Confident managing social media platforms and digital content.

    Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    Creative with an eye for engaging content and storytelling.

    Comfortable attending project sites to capture photography and content.

    Experience monitoring engagement, analytics, and campaign performance.

    A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
