How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Semi-Automatic Welder / Production Operative

    Location: Stone, ST15, Staffordshire
    Salary: 12.71 + shift allowence + Overtime Available
    Hours: Full-Time, Permanent

    We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Semi-Automatic Welder / Production Operative to join our busy production team.     The Role

    As a Semi-Automatic Welder / Production Operative, your responsibilities will include:

    *

    Carrying out semi-automatic (MIG) welding to a high standard.

    *

    Manufacturing products in line with engineering drawings and production specifications.

    *

    Preparing, assembling, and welding steel components.

    *

    Operating production machinery and equipment safely.

    *

    Performing quality checks to ensure finished products meet company standards.

    *

    Using hand and power tools.

    *

    Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

    *

    Working as part of a team to meet daily production targets.

    What We're Looking For

    The successful candidate will have:

    *

    Previous experience in MIG/semi-automatic welding.

    *

    Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.

    *

    The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (preferred).

    *

    Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.

    *

    A positive attitude and strong work ethic.

    *

    The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    *

    Good timekeeping and reliability.

    Desirable Skills

    *

    Fabrication experience.

    *

    Experience operating workshop machinery.

    *

    Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential).
