£16–£18 per hour DOE | 3 days per week | 9am–4pm
Are you an experienced AAT Level 4 qualified Accountant looking for a part-time opportunity within a friendly and established accountancy practice?
We are working with a well-established accountancy practice in Ramsgate that is looking for a Part Time Accountant to join its small and supportive team.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is confident working independently, enjoys dealing directly with clients, and has previous experience preparing accounts within an accountancy practice.
The Role
You'll be responsible for preparing draft accounts and supporting clients with their day-to-day accounting needs, working closely with the wider team to ensure work is completed accurately and on time.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing draft statutory accounts from trial balances
* Working with balance sheets and P&L statements
* Maintaining accurate working papers and client records
* Responding to client queries by phone, email and in person
* Working directly with a portfolio of clients
* Supporting senior members of the team where required
* Managing your workload effectively with minimal supervision
Please note: This role focuses primarily on accounts preparation and does not involve final sign-off or corporation tax work.
About You
We are looking for someone who is confident, reliable and comfortable working within a busy accountancy practice environment.
You'll ideally have:
* AAT Level 4 qualification or above
* Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
* Experience preparing accounts from a trial balance
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Confidence dealing directly with clients
* Good attention to detail and organisational skills
* The ability to work independently and manage your own workload

* Part time – 3 days per week
* 9am–4pm
* £16–£18 per hour, depending on experience
* Fully office based
* Salary review following successful completion of a 3-month probationary period
