3D Design Engineer

3D Design Engineer (Inventor) – Outside IR35 Contract – 6 Months Rolling – Carlisle (Office based) – Hourly Rate

Our leading engineering client is seeking 3D Design Engineer on a rolling contract basis.

The successful candidate will be required to work on-site, utilising company systems and IT infrastructure (PC equipment will be provided).

Duties:

* Produce detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using Autodesk Inventor.

* Develop design deliverables to the required standard, in line with project programme and milestones.

* Collaborate with the wider engineering team across mechanical, structural and process disciplines.

* Ensure all design outputs comply with relevant standards, specifications and client requirements.

* Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback effectively.

* Manage and maintain drawing registers and revision control in accordance with project protocols.

* Liaise with site teams and other stakeholders to resolve design queries in a timely manner.

* Work within the project BIM environment, adhering to the project BIM Protocol as directed by the BIM Co-ordinator.

* Maintain accurate records and contribute to project reporting as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Proven experience as a 3D Design Engineer within a relevant industrial sector (predominately pressure system i.e. tanks, pipework with some structural experience).

* Proficient in Autodesk Inventor (essential).

* Experience working with systems or plant equipment (desirable).

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs and technical specifications.

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to design quality.

* Good interpersonal and communication skills.

* Experience working within a BIM environment (desirable).

* Ability to work on-site and integrate into an existing project team
