How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Project Engineer
    Teesside

Wolviston Management Services are proud to be supporting our client in the search for an experienced Project Engineer to strengthen their growing engineering function.
This role offers the opportunity to join a forward-thinking manufacturer, taking a hands-on lead in the delivery of development and pre-production (NPI) projects. You'll be joining a small but ambitious team and this appointment will add valuable experience, structure, and leadership to the department.

    About the Role
Working closely with engineering, procurement, and commercial teams, you'll take ownership for the planning, coordination, and execution of technical activities across multiple projects. From RFQ processing and feasibility assessments through to cost analysis, procurement and validation documentation, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in line with customer specifications.
You'll also support the development of robust processes, documentation, and quality controls to drive continuous improvement across the project lifecycle.

    Key Responsibilities

Lead and support the coordination of development and pre-production (NPI) projects.
Manage RFQ processes, including material costings, feasibility reviews, and cost card completion.
Conduct purchase order, sales order and contract reviews.
Prepare, schedule, and monitor assigned engineering projects through to completion.
Collaborate with clients to interpret technical requirements and ensure alignment with project scope.
Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and oversee materials and subcontract requisitions.
Develop specifications for equipment allocation and timing plans to meet project demand.
Work alongside Project Managers and senior engineers to refine project methodologies and maintain profitability.
Prepare project documentation including process flow diagrams, FMEA, validation protocols and PPAP submissions.
Support data collection and performance tracking across all projects. What We're Looking For

HNC/HND or Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
Proven experience in a project or engineering environment, ideally within manufacturing or NPI.
Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.
Confident working cross-functionally and engaging directly with clients.
Competent with project documentation, cost analysis, and quality procedures.
Proactive approach to process improvement and continuous development. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Engineer who enjoys both the technical and people-facing sides of project delivery — offering the chance to bring experience, guidance, and structure to a developing team
