Position
An internationally recognised design practice is seeking an experienced FF&E Interior Designer to lead its FF&E design and procurement team from its London studio. Working across a portfolio of high-end private and development projects in the UK and internationally, you will oversee the full FF&E journey from concept through to installation, collaborating closely with the architectural team to deliver beautifully considered interiors.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in the continued growth of the studio's FF&E and bespoke furnishings division, combining creative design with procurement, supplier management and client-facing responsibilities. The role would suit someone who enjoys working at the intersection of architecture and interiors, with a refined design eye and a passion for exceptional furniture, materials and craftsmanship.
Candidate
This ideal candidates id an experienced FF&E Interior Designer with a refined design eye and a genuine appreciation for craftsmanship, materiality and timeless interiors. You will enjoy creating spaces that feel considered and collected rather than trend-led, with a natural ability to source distinctive furniture, lighting, art and decorative objects that bring depth and personality to a project.
- 6–8+ years' experience in FF&E design, procurement and leading projects from concept through to installation.
- A refined design eye with a strong understanding of proportion, composition and materiality.
- Excellent knowledge of contemporary, vintage and antique furniture, lighting, textiles, art and decorative objects.
- An appreciation for high-quality materials, craftsmanship and bespoke detailing.
- Strong procurement and supplier management experience, with the ability to oversee purchasing, budgets, lead times and installation.
- Experience preparing high-quality client presentations, mood boards, FF&E schedules, specifications and cost plans.
- Comfortable collaborating with architects, makers, fabricators and specialist suppliers to develop bespoke pieces and resolve technical details.
- Proficient in CAD for space planning and bespoke detailing, with ArchiCAD experience advantageous.
- Experience using procurement software such as EstiPC, Fohlio, Programa or similar.
- Highly organised with excellent project management, communication and client-facing skills.
- Passionate about architecture, interiors and craftsmanship, with a collaborative and proactive approach.
